Anyone who has ever spent Christmas in Saalbach Hinterglemm or, even better, with us at the Dorfhotel Glücksschmiede, knows that the Christmas season is very close to our hearts. So much so, that we celebrate the festive season of family, love, and happiness by every trick of the book — both privately and with our guests. As soon as the first hint of snow is in the air, and you hear ‘Last Christmas’ on the radio, we start to put our heads together and create our festive Christmas programme. • Nighttime Skiing: As we all know, it gets dark a lot earlier in winter time and that’s great because tobogganing or skiing is even more fun in the dark! That’s why a bit of floodlight fun is a must in our Christmas programme.
• Helicopter Flight: Have you ever flown over the snow-covered peaks of the Glemmtal Alps in a helicopter? No? Then it’s about time! Psst: For anyone still looking for a last-minute present, this unforgettable experience also makes a great gift!
• Glücksschmiede Ski Day: A real classic when it comes to the Christmas season is our Glücksschiede ski day with a trip up to our private cabin, the Wolfs Hütte. We head up the mountain together, where delicious regional cuisine and amazing slopes await us.
• Decorate the Tree: Do you have a tradition of decorating the tree together? Then join me and the boys with your kids and help us decorate the big Christmas tree in the lobby. Extra dose of Christmas spirit included.
• Christmas Market: Before the presents are given, we head to the Christmas market! Mulled wine, punch, biscuits, live music and even presents await you and your loved ones at Landhaus Wolf. It’s a great way to pass the time until the bells ring.
