Who or what is a HornOX if not the most ingenious new eatery in Saalbach Hinterglemm? Our brand new restaurant, with which we are turning everything that is traditionally expected of an eatery in the Salzburg ski area on its head in the usual unusual Wolfs style. It will be wild. It will be atypical. But above all, it’s going to be great! That much we can promise! And if these words have already made your mouth water, then fasten your seatbelts, dear foodies from all over the world. Here’s our HornOX story:

Have you had your fill of traditional Austrian cuisine? Never mind! The appeal of our Awesome Eatery lies in its difference. So would you prefer a steak from the local mouflon? Directly from our region, aka our own hunting ground, served with homemade chimichurri? Or perhaps the braised beef ribs with corn on the cob or grilled broccoli? We have decided to turn the tables on the gastronomy and create a flavour and visitor experience that you could find anywhere in the world, but only here. This makes eating out in Saalbach Hinterglemm fun!

Chef thing: Pinzgau meets Great Britain!

Once f***ing good, please and thank you! When I, as a ‘waxer’ Pinzgauer, meet a British chef, the result is ‘Woid-und-Wiesn-Cuisine’ with international flair instead of ordinary haute cuisine. Together with our head chef Rob Key, we have created a menu that is fresh and inspired. Somehow cosy, but also a little crazy and therefore perfectly suited to our house. Where else would a cosy, homely atmosphere meet Austro-Asian (with a pinch of Brit-Pop) fusion cuisine? At HornOX, there’s an extra portion of happiness with a twist – not to mention the atypical wow moment!

Untypically, happiness goes through the stomach!

At Hotel Glücksschmiede, we have specialised in making people happy in atypical ways. That’s why, in addition to our personal highlights such as finely seared game specialities and unusual cuts of venison, game and beef – how could it be any different with real wolves? – we also serve delicious wines from our historic wine cellar. And the desserts, well, they make it easy to forget any worries about calories. Our recommendation: simply enjoy our chocolate dream without a care in the world and hop into your skiing or hiking boots the next day.
