We all know them. Those ideas that suddenly pop up somewhere in the back of our mind, fight their way into our consciousness, and then sit there until we simply can’t resist them any longer. “How about a spontaneous vacation?” they seem to whisper, or: ”You could absolutely swap your suit and laptop for a sauna towel and Tomahawk steak, why the f**k not?” The results can range from borderline genius to atypically awesome — either way, you’re sure to make some legendary memories in the process.

Since we’ve had quite a few spontaneous ideas in our time, here’s a collection of what we consider the best of the best:

• Spontaneous Day in Bed: No matter how many plans you’ve got written down in your diary, sometimes all you need is a spontaneous day in bed. So why not treat yourself to some extra time between sheets and pillows? Give that alarm clock a good kick and trust that friends, appointments and mountain tours will still be there tomorrow. The only thing that might be worth a little trip would be a super chilled late breakfast at our buffet. Sounds good, no?
• Spontaneous Dance Party: Who said you can only dance to music? In our opinion, this sounds suspiciously like fake news. Sometimes the music plays even when nobody else can hear it — no reason to stop yourself from dancing. So dance! In the middle of the supermarket, for example, or in the gondola on the way to the slopes! A little party never killed nobody, which is why we’re also linking you to our amzing event calendar for even more chances to dance your heart out.
• Spontaneous Schnitzel for Breakfast: Not in the mood for porridge, jam sandwiches and croissants? Then why not switch it up a little bit and order a schnitzel for breakfast instead? With chips or potatoes, maybe? We liked this idea so much that we immediately included it in our atypical Glücksschmiede line-up and have started to serve our entire menu for all those who don’t really mess with typical breakfast food from half past eleven AM.
• Spontaneous Sauna Outfit: Picture this: You’ve just finished a long day of work and don’t want to waste any time changing out of your suit? All good. Let off some steam and throw yourself into our sauna — fully dressed. And once there? Well, loosen your tie and you’re ready to go. Just make sure to leave your work laptop outside the door, as we’re not liable if it gets too hot. Instead, why not pick up some of our super cosy loungewear for the extra cosiness factor afterwards?
